BATGIRL Plus THE RIDDLER Equals LOVE!

OK, I'm sort of teasing our Friend Rebecca here a little bit with the title to this post, but once you see the photos you'll know what I mean. Here's a wonderful set of photos sent in to us by her. This past Halloween, Rebecca and her Boyfriend dressed-up as BATGIRL and The RIDDLER! Their costumes were really great but they didn't stop there. They also made a very clever custom-made Jack O' Lantern Pumpkin with the Batgirl Logo Symbol, a Heart, and a Question Mark for the Riddler. There was also some nice chalk art done to complete the outdoor decorations. Overall, everything looked AWESOME! I think they had a great time. Thank you Rebecca for sharing these fun pics. Plus, that Pumpkin looks very cool all lit-up, good job!

BATYY HALLOWEEN - Robin and The Riddler in Battle!

RIDDLE ME THIS, "What is it that no man wants to have, yet no man wants to lose ?" Answer: A Lawsuit! Ha Ha! Sorry, I had to do a wacky riddle because this next group of pictures feature the Riddler! Yes, Gotham City has recently been threatened by the Prince of Puzzles. But wait! Robin is on the case & ready to fight crime! What will happen next?!

These fun pics were sent in by our friend Jessica to share the Halloween Costumes that her & her friend Linh made this year. Jessica is Robin & Linh is the Riddler! Both costumes are totally great! Brand-New Wacky BATMAN AND ROBIN Products To Look Out For!

The real main focus of the BAT-BLOG.COM is to share the fun and joy of collecting cool Batman stuff! We report on a lot of the mainstream products but we also like to feature unusual items that might go under the radar. Here's some great examples. The 1st two pics were sent in by our Good Friend & Awesome Bat-Reporter, BATMOBILLY! He went on the Retail Store Hunt recently & came up with these unusual items.

First, here is a LEGO BATMAN Winter Hat & Glove Set for Kids. Hey, these are pretty awesome, I'd wear them! I totally love the graphics & the image of Batman & Robin climbing the wall totally make me wonder if it's a homage to the 1966 TV Show, ha! It looks like that famous scene, doesn't it?!


Next up is totally new line of Action Figures that Batmobilly found at Toys-R-Us. They are 4 Batman "STEALTH STRIKE" Toys! He said they were unknown to him & I gotta admit that I have not heard any news of them either, it's like they just came outta no where!



OK, the last photo is a totally cool piece to try to add to your collection but getting it is going to be difficult. Why? It's not a regular retail item but a special Store Display Standee for the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. This photo was sent in by our friend Jacob and, if I remember right, he said he got it at Wal-Mart. About the only way to get one of these is to go stalk Retail Stores that might have these & totally suck-up to the Store Manager, ha! I got some of these a few years back for the BATMAN LEGO Game from Blockbuster Video.

They repackaged this item & you can buy it with the RIDDLER CAR ( Actually, from the prototype photo, it looks more like a VW Van, Click on the above photo for a larger view ). This comes out later this year, around December 2011.

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY - Advertising Propaganda Spotted in Mexico City!

Check out these cool photos sent in by our friend Diego, who lives in Mexico City. He said that 2 guys were spotted the other night driving around town in a pick-up truck with "Gotham City Police Department" graphics on the side. In the back was a huge projector & they went around projecting a few images onto the sides of buildings. They included: The BAT-SYMBOL LOGO, The BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Logo ( with Release Date ), and one for the RIDDLER announcing the Riddler's Mexican Twitter Account, @3NIG_MA. Wow! How cool is that?! Please Help With Finding BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES Artwork For Tattoo

I recently got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan who said that he wants to get a Batman Tattoo in the "Animated Series" Art Style ( Awesome! ). He plans on having Batman & another Villain. His 2 choices for the bad guy are either The Riddler or Mr. Freeze. He said that his main problem is trying to find some decent graphics to use. He's done a Google "Image Search" & came up with nothing. I tried too & was surprised by how little there was online. So, this post is to ask Bat-Blog Readers out there if YOU have any decent pics, or ideas where to find them, then please shoot us an email. Now, my idea is for him to hit a Comic Book Store & dig through the back issues. There were a few different titles that had the "animated series" characters. The graphic up above is an example. I think if he dug into a few of these books he could find some comic panels that have awesome graphics.

The Bat-Blog was recently blessed with a preview of a brand-new illustration by famed Graphic Designer Christopher Franchi. He's the Art Director for Metaluna 5 Media, which handles a lot of licensed properties like: KISS, Bettie Page, Alice Cooper, Star Trek, Superman, Spawn, Peanuts, Evil Dead, Betty Boop and the list goes on & on. Here is an EXCLUSIVE & Super-Awesome 1966 BATMAN WALLPAPER Chris created for the BAT-BLOG! Well, he did all the artwork & I put the Bat-Blog Logo on it, ha! Now, of course, this image relates to the 1960's BATMAN MOVIE because it shows Lee Merriwether as Catwoman. Plus, it's got the other Super-Evil Villains: The Joker ( Cesar Romero ), The Penguin ( Burgess Meredith ), The Riddler ( Frank Gorshin ), and the Hero himself, BATMAN ( Adam West )! The artwork is extremely amazing! The illustrations were all done on Cold-Press Art Board with Gouache and Colored Pencil. Then, they were scanned and assembled digitally. I like how each character has their own colored-outline, to make them sort of pop-off the page. There is also that "light ray" effect that's pretty freakin' cool!! BATMAN FAN PHOTO - Gene Meets The Riddler ( Frank Gorshin )

Here's a totally cool personal photo sent in to the Bat-Blog. It shows our friend Gene when he got to meet Frank Gorshin, Live in Person, at the Chiller Theatre Convention back in 1999. He said he was extremely gracious & a very nice guy, very down to earth. Actually, this is the only thing I have ever heard about him, that he was just a really great guy to be around. As a little kid I always loved him as the Riddler on the 1966 BATMAN TV Show. It's so cool that he was such a good person too. RIP Mr. Gorshin, you are missed. COMPOSITE SUPERMAN ART and RIDDLER MEGO DOLL BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, This week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is gonna get really really weird, ha! First off we have a very nice piece of art sent in to us by our friend Gary. It's an image of one of the strangest Super-Villains in Comic Book history, COMPOSITE SUPERMAN! This weird character has developed sort of a cult following over the years & keeps making appearances from time to time. Basically, his costume is half-Batman and half-Superman. I don't know, I've always thought it looks pretty cool! If ya wanna learn more about this guy then just click HERE, it's pretty interesting stuff. Also, a special "THANKS!" goes out to Gary for sharing his awesome artwork with us, good job!

Next up, the Bat-Blog is mostly known for being a place where Serious Batman Toy Collectors show-up. The history of merchandise for the Caped Crusader is vast & we love all the cool vintage stuff that's been made over the years. One area of collecting that I have always loved are the Mego Dolls from the 1970's. In this wallpaper I used a simple clean photo of THE RIDDLER Figure. Go ahead, try it as a background, you'll like it, ha!

We're excited! The Bat-Blog just got some awesome new photos showing the costumes and set design for the UK stage show of BATMAN LIVE WORLD ARENA TOUR!! They were very large pics so I decided to offer them as super-fun BATMAN LIVE WALLPAPERS you can use to brighten your desktop's background. All the photos are pretty much self-explanatory! YES! FINALLY! We finally get some decent press coverage from the BATMAN LIVE World Tour Show that will start in the UK & then arrive later in the US. Oh yeah, Featured in these 4 Video Clips: We get to see the Set Design, an Animation Sample for the Stage Video Screen, a CG representation of Harley Quinn's Carnival & also Wayne Manor ( with a very small teaser of the Bat-Cave ), and then the very last video shows all the Actors & their Costumes! Oh man, everything looks really really AWESOME!! I think this show is going to be incredible!
