NEW BATMAN TOYS AND COLLECTIBLES - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post some BATMAN WALLPAPERS that kind of celebrate a few brand-new BATMAN PRODUCTS out there that are fun! The 1st one is a nice photo of the 2011 BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM Batmobile Hot Wheels Car made by Mattel. I got one of these recently, it's a cool toy!



Now, I know the 2nd one is kinda crazy but I really love these Batman Shoes! Our friend Andy, who lives in the UK, told us about these special Converse Sneakers ( Kid's Size Only, yeah bummer! ) that are sold in England. They have awesome "Batmobile" graphics on them!



The last Background is a nice hi-res shot of the next NEW 2012 LEGO BATMAN BATCAVE, which is not out yet, but is featured here because it's so AWESOME!

CATWOMAN WALLPAPERS - Michelle Pfeiffer From 1992 BATMAN RETURNS Movie

MEOW! Presented here, for your viewing pleasure, are 3 Beautiful CATWOMAN WALLPAPER Backgrounds to brighten your day, and your PC Desktop! But this isn't the brand-new "Anne Hathaway" version we're all going to see in the next 2012 Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. No, this is the "Michelle Pfeiffer" version of Catwoman From the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS. Of course, this was the sequel to Tim Burton's 1989 film & directed by him. I have always thought that this movie was actually pretty decent & between the 2 Villains in that film I felt Catwoman was a little better. OK, way better, PURRRRR!

THE LEAGUE OF BATMEN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Oh man, I almost forgot to post some brand-new BATMAN WALLPAPERS for the Bat-Blog's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", Ha Ha! But just in time I pulled my head out, so here we go! Now these 2 special backgrounds need a little explaining:



OK, We have a friend over at Facebook, named Keith, who kindly asked for a wallpaper Design based on "The League of Batmen". It was a very strange request, ha! By strange I mean that finding some graphics to use was gonna be extremely difficult. You see, "The League of Batmen" is an extremely obscure 2-Part Set of Batman Comic Books from 2001. They were a story line from the "Elseworlds" realm, meaning, they're not a part of actual continuity and really more fantasy driven. But hey, we like a challenge... every now & then! I could not really find any decent graphics for this except 2 pages from the actual comics. So, this is what these are. Overall, I think they work pretty good as backgrounds. OK Keith, I hope you like these, at least one of them, ha!

1966 BATMAN TV BATMOBILE CAR WALLPAPER From The GOTHAM CITY SUPERCAR CLUB

Our Buddies over at the GOTHAM CITY SUPERCAR CLUB in New Jersey recently sent us this beautiful photo showing a few of their 1966 Batmobile Replica cars that they were getting ready to go out as party rentals. Actually, I think they sent the pic to completely torture me. I don't have ONE of these, but they have TWO! ( Ha Ha! Just Kiddin' ) Actually they have more than these. They also have a Tumbler Batmobile, like the kind in the newer Batman Movies, and I'll be posting photos of that car later. ADAM WEST TRIBUTE WALLPAPER By Graphic Artist Andy Fish Celebrates 45th Anniversary of The 1966 BATMAN TV Series

Last night we got this awesome ADAM WEST BATMAN TRIBUTE WALLPAPER that was made by our friend, Graphic Artist Andy Fish. The artwork is very cool & has a 1960's POP ART feel about it. Which, is totally appropriate because it's meant to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of The 1966 BATMAN TV Series. Wow, 45 years! Man, I really feel old now, ha! I was 2 years old when this TV Show appeared & right from the beginning I was completely hooked, I loved it! Watching it now, as an Adult, I gotta admit that's it's kinda cheesy. But when I was very very little, and Batman or Robin were held in some Crazy Death Trap... I was extremely concerned for their lives, ha! I wanna thank Andy for making this '66 BATMAN WALLPAPER for the Bat-Blog. He did a great job on it & I wanna say that people should check out his other art too. Starting tonight, rich people lucky enough to be able to afford full Digital Cable, can start enjoying BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES on the HUB Channel! Now, I was going to list the time it comes on but I discovered that it will be different for various time zones. So, you'll have to check your local listings for dates. Please remember, they also have the classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show and "Batman Beyond".

BATMOBILE REPLICA CARS & GOLDEN AGE BATWOMAN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

If you read the Bat-Blog yesterday then you know we did a post about the "Michael Uslan Batman Book Signing" that happened in New Jersey last weekend. Well, for the event, they had a few Batmobile Replica Cars on display that were supplied by Gotham City Supercars. That's the 1st BATMAN WALLPAPER presented here. The photo features a very nice 1966 Batmobile & the cool car from the 1989 Movie. I would have tried to steal them BOTH, ha!







Then, the 2nd wallpaper background shares an image of BATWOMAN from the Golden Age. It's a convention drawing by Sheldon Moldoff. You see, I recently got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan asking to see a "Batwoman Background" showing her as she appeared in the TV Cartoon, "Batman: The Brave and The Bold". Yes, she made an appearance. Well, I did have some nice graphics of her but they're on my old computer that I can't access. Then, I searched Google forever trying to find these pics & could never find anything decent. Then, I asked the Warner Bros PR Dept to please send me some pics but that's taking forever. So I finally settled on these. Sorry Dude, I'll have those images for you when I can get them. In the mean time please enjoy this one.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Wallpapers - CATWOMAN & BATMOBILE

For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post a few Batman Backgrounds that celebrate the new 2012 movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. So, here are a few scenes when they were filming in Pittsburgh.



The 1st one show Selina Kyle ( Anne Hathaway's Stunt Double ) stealing the Bat-Pod from Gotham City University. I wish this was Anne Hathaway in the official Catwoman Cat-Suit ( no release of that Costume photo yet, but stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com ). I think that this is only what she wears early on to steal the vehicle.



OK, speaking of Bat-Vehicles, the next wallpaper is of the Tumbler Batmobile, which will make an early appearance in the film too. Also, it's the "Camouflage" version. I guess it's not been painted black yet, ha!

Exclusive 1966 BATMAN MOVIE WALLPAPER - Illustration Art By Christopher Franchi

The Bat-Blog was recently blessed with a preview of a brand-new illustration by famed Graphic Designer Christopher Franchi. He's the Art Director for Metaluna 5 Media, which handles a lot of licensed properties like: KISS, Bettie Page, Alice Cooper, Star Trek, Superman, Spawn, Peanuts, Evil Dead, Betty Boop and the list goes on & on. Here is an EXCLUSIVE & Super-Awesome 1966 BATMAN WALLPAPER Chris created for the BAT-BLOG! Well, he did all the artwork & I put the Bat-Blog Logo on it, ha! Now, of course, this image relates to the 1960's BATMAN MOVIE because it shows Lee Merriwether as Catwoman. Plus, it's got the other Super-Evil Villains: The Joker ( Cesar Romero ), The Penguin ( Burgess Meredith ), The Riddler ( Frank Gorshin ), and the Hero himself, BATMAN ( Adam West )! The artwork is extremely amazing! The illustrations were all done on Cold-Press Art Board with Gouache and Colored Pencil. Then, they were scanned and assembled digitally. I like how each character has their own colored-outline, to make them sort of pop-off the page. There is also that "light ray" effect that's pretty freakin' cool!! ( Thanks Christopher, I know everybody is going to totally love this incredible Bat-Art!! )
