NEW BATMAN TOYS AND COLLECTIBLES - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post some BATMAN WALLPAPERS that kind of celebrate a few brand-new BATMAN PRODUCTS out there that are fun! The 1st one is a nice photo of the 2011 BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM Batmobile Hot Wheels Car made by Mattel. I got one of these recently, it's a cool toy!



Now, I know the 2nd one is kinda crazy but I really love these Batman Shoes! Our friend Andy, who lives in the UK, told us about these special Converse Sneakers ( Kid's Size Only, yeah bummer! ) that are sold in England. They have awesome "Batmobile" graphics on them!



The last Background is a nice hi-res shot of the next NEW 2012 LEGO BATMAN BATCAVE, which is not out yet, but is featured here because it's so AWESOME!

BATMAN LIVE - Souvenir Scenic Studios - Gotham City Building Models & THE JOKER Props

Hype has sort of died down a little bit on the BATMAN LIVE events going on in Europe so I thought I'd share these cool photos I found the other day. These pics are from a website called "Souvenir Scenic Studios". This is the company that's in charge of making a lot of the props & scenery for the BATMAN LIVE Show. WOW! All of this stuff is beyond beautiful!! Most of these photos revolve around the extremely cool Building Models of Gotham City and some JOKER-related items. In fact, that Giant-Sized JOKER FACE Cut-Out would look awesome in my backyard garden area, ha! I also really love the Model Building of the MONARCH THEATER where a young Bruce Wayne & his Parents viewed "The Mark of Zorro". NEW BATMAN CHESS Board Game - DC COLLECTION by UK Eaglemoss

For our friends in England, the UK Eaglemoss Company has just announced a brand-new product called the "DC CHESS COLLECTION". Which is kinda weird because basically it's a BATMAN CHESS SET! They pretty much sell the game pieces one at a time ( I think you have to subscribe ) & each piece comes with a special magazine featuring origin stories of that character. They have already announced the 1st five Characters / Game Pieces ( shown here ) & teased about the next three ( Catwoman, Red Hood, & Hush ). The 5 include: Batman, Robin, Joker, Commissioner Gordon, & Two-Face. I scanned their website like crazy trying to find out how tall these pieces are, but nothing, sorry. Niko's BATMAN TOYS and STATUE COLLECTION - Part Two

Yesterday, we did a post ( Part One ) that celebrated the Batman and Joker Toys & Statue Collection of a friend to the Bat-Blog, named Niko. He lives in France and is a very serious BATMAN Toy Collector. Well, this is "Part Two". It's focus is on a Display Case that appears to have been built-in to a wall ( See the 2nd photo ). All the other pics show the collected items on each shelf. The collection is very eclectic with a lot of variety so it's really fun to see. There are some Batman and Joker Statues, Lego Toys, McDonalds Happy Meal Toys, DC Direct & Mattel Action Figures, UK Eaglemoss Figures, Animated Series Diecast Vehicles by ERTL , Some CORGI Toy Cars & much much more! Random BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Video Game News

Just a quick post to share a few bits of BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Video Game news. First, in the UK, you'll be able to find this new XBOX 360 Magazine with The Joker on the cover. Then, here's another beautiful photo of the BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Billboard that was seen at this year's 2011 San Diego Comic Con.






Also, we have news on some brand-new "Foreign Exclusives".



We have already been hearing about all the Foreign "Collectors Editions" with different Batman SKINS. Now there's news of EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK Editions in other countries. The 1st two to surface ( and there will be many more probably, ha! ) is the UK Store SHOPTO & the Australian Video Game Store EB GAMES. For the UK edition they will have Two-Face on the back cover. Then, the Aussies will have the Joker ( I like the Joker one better ). It looks like you also get a cool 1970's Batman Skin plus a few other bonuses in each one. But, for the price, so far I'm thinking the "Collector Edition" would be better because you get the Batman Statue. These just have a "steelbook" case. I don't know, it's really too early to tell. I think we all need to see the final releases on all this stuff. Please stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com for more future news. Also, just a friendly warning. If you do buy any of the "Foreign" stuff, Please be sure to ask the retailer if these discs will work on "American" Game Consoles.

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY - 1970's Inspired BATMAN SKIN - UK Video Game Exclusive

In BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM we could all pretty much be Batman but all with the same costume. For BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY there has already been an announcement that, in the Special "Limited Collector's Edition" of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY, it will include a Frank Miller-style "The Dark Knight Returns" Batman skin that will change the appearance of the character to look like the TDKR version.



OK, it's been announced in the UK that if you buy the "Limited Collector's Edition" of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY from a company called SHOP TO, you can get a free EXCLUSIVE download that will enable you to have a 1970's Inspired Costume Skin ( see the pic up above ). Now, I'm not sure if this will be made available in the USA or if it will even work with American Consoles. But if you're curious & wanna check it out then here's a LINK!

More New Photos From BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour in the UK!

Check out these 2 wonderful photos all the way from England. Our friend, Michael, who lives in Leeds, went to the BATMAN LIVE event in the UK ( Super-Jealous! ) & took these pics. The 1st one is an advertising standee of Batman that he saw in the foyer of the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. I begged him to steal for me but he's a good citizen & would not do it, Ha Ha!



Then, Michael got this great shot of the Official "BATMAN LIVE" Souvenir Merchandise they have on sale. It looks like there are many different T-Shirts to choose from, a few Ceramic Coffee Mugs, a Program Booklet, and even some Batman Cowl Masks! ( Be sure to click on the photo for a larger version ). Billy's BATMAN LIVE WORLD ARENA TOUR Adventure in the UK

Last week, in the UK, the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour had started & ever since then we have got a ton of personal reports. The good news, all the reviews are really positive. I've been keeping up with this show from the beginning & have been kinda skeptical. I mean, they were either going to make this show amazing or it would totally bomb. Luckily, it's a great event, whew! Here are a few photos sent in by our friend Billy, who is lucky enough to live in the UK. He said the show was totally great! Now, at the show he only had a camera phone but he did manage to get a few nice pics.



In the 1st one we get a really good look at the costumes for Batman and Robin, nice. Next, is a scene where a HUGE Joker Hot Air Balloon appears on stage! Then, the last 2 show the giant-sized bat-shaped video screen. I've heard that this is used to great effect for making transitions to other locations. Plus, it gave the show a great visual effect, like seeing tons of Bats flying across Gotham City or the Batmobile driving through the city. Oh yeah, in the last photo you can see a photo of our friend Billy. Yes, photographic proof that he was there, ha!

With the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour opening pretty soon in the UK ( The very 1st show, I think, starts next month ) the advertising hype is starting! Shown here, in the very 1st photo, is the Official Marquee Poster that will appear in front of theaters. Then, in the 2nd pic, is a French Advertising Poster at a Bus Stop Terminal in Paris, France. Then, a HUGE Giant-Sized Vinyl Billboard in Liverpool, England! ( Please click on it, it's a really BIG Photo ) WOW! OK, I'm asking all of our friends who live in Europe to please send us some photos of this kinda stuff when you see it. BATMAN TOY NEWS - Eaglemoss Company To Cancel Batmobile Series

Shown up above are the 1st five Issues in the "Batman Automobilia" Series by Eaglemoss, in the UK. You should be familiar with these toys, the BAT-BLOG was practically the 1st website to report on them. Basically they're highly detailed Batmobiles with small dioramas set-up inside clear-plastic display cases that were sold with it's own special magazine that told the history of that particular Batmobile. Well, the Eaglemoss Company had 10 cars already planned, but now there is very recent news that they now plan to only make the 1st five & the rest will be cancelled. This is sad news because these things are totally cool. We're not quite sure why they have been terminated but hopefully things will turn around. Stay tuned & we'll let ya know.
