NEW BATMAN TOYS AND COLLECTIBLES - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post some BATMAN WALLPAPERS that kind of celebrate a few brand-new BATMAN PRODUCTS out there that are fun! The 1st one is a nice photo of the 2011 BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM Batmobile Hot Wheels Car made by Mattel. I got one of these recently, it's a cool toy!



Now, I know the 2nd one is kinda crazy but I really love these Batman Shoes! Our friend Andy, who lives in the UK, told us about these special Converse Sneakers ( Kid's Size Only, yeah bummer! ) that are sold in England. They have awesome "Batmobile" graphics on them!



The last Background is a nice hi-res shot of the next NEW 2012 LEGO BATMAN BATCAVE, which is not out yet, but is featured here because it's so AWESOME!

CATWOMAN WALLPAPERS - Michelle Pfeiffer From 1992 BATMAN RETURNS Movie

MEOW! Presented here, for your viewing pleasure, are 3 Beautiful CATWOMAN WALLPAPER Backgrounds to brighten your day, and your PC Desktop! But this isn't the brand-new "Anne Hathaway" version we're all going to see in the next 2012 Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. No, this is the "Michelle Pfeiffer" version of Catwoman From the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS. Of course, this was the sequel to Tim Burton's 1989 film & directed by him. I have always thought that this movie was actually pretty decent & between the 2 Villains in that film I felt Catwoman was a little better. OK, way better, PURRRRR!

THE LEAGUE OF BATMEN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Oh man, I almost forgot to post some brand-new BATMAN WALLPAPERS for the Bat-Blog's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", Ha Ha! But just in time I pulled my head out, so here we go! Now these 2 special backgrounds need a little explaining:



OK, We have a friend over at Facebook, named Keith, who kindly asked for a wallpaper Design based on "The League of Batmen". It was a very strange request, ha! By strange I mean that finding some graphics to use was gonna be extremely difficult. You see, "The League of Batmen" is an extremely obscure 2-Part Set of Batman Comic Books from 2001. They were a story line from the "Elseworlds" realm, meaning, they're not a part of actual continuity and really more fantasy driven. But hey, we like a challenge... every now & then! I could not really find any decent graphics for this except 2 pages from the actual comics. So, this is what these are. Overall, I think they work pretty good as backgrounds. OK Keith, I hope you like these, at least one of them, ha!

Here at the BAT-BLOG.COM we're starting to get pretty excited about the new BATMAN: YEAR ONE Animated Film DVD being released next week ( Oct. 18th )! ( I always thought that "Batman Year One" was more of a story about Gordon's rise in the GCPD than actually Batman's origin ). Also, I wanted to get on here real quick & share some recently made BATMAN YEAR ONE Backgrounds. They celebrate the next BATMAN DC Universe Animated Film coming to DVD next month ( Oct 18th ). For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would celebrate 2 of the sexiest batman Villains out there, Catwoman & Harley Quinn! Also, the 1st one sort of celebrates "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" Movie because we all know that Selina Kyle ( Anne Hathaway's character ) is going to be stealing the Bat-Pod in one part of the film. BATMOBILE REPLICA CARS & GOLDEN AGE BATWOMAN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

If you read the Bat-Blog yesterday then you know we did a post about the "Michael Uslan Batman Book Signing" that happened in New Jersey last weekend. Well, for the event, they had a few Batmobile Replica Cars on display that were supplied by Gotham City Supercars. That's the 1st BATMAN WALLPAPER presented here. The photo features a very nice 1966 Batmobile & the cool car from the 1989 Movie. I would have tried to steal them BOTH, ha!







Then, the 2nd wallpaper background shares an image of BATWOMAN from the Golden Age. It's a convention drawing by Sheldon Moldoff. You see, I recently got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan asking to see a "Batwoman Background" showing her as she appeared in the TV Cartoon, "Batman: The Brave and The Bold". Yes, she made an appearance. Well, I did have some nice graphics of her but they're on my old computer that I can't access. Then, I searched Google forever trying to find these pics & could never find anything decent. Then, I asked the Warner Bros PR Dept to please send me some pics but that's taking forever. So I finally settled on these. Sorry Dude, I'll have those images for you when I can get them. In the mean time please enjoy this one.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Wallpapers - CATWOMAN & BATMOBILE

For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post a few Batman Backgrounds that celebrate the new 2012 movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. So, here are a few scenes when they were filming in Pittsburgh.



The 1st one show Selina Kyle ( Anne Hathaway's Stunt Double ) stealing the Bat-Pod from Gotham City University. I wish this was Anne Hathaway in the official Catwoman Cat-Suit ( no release of that Costume photo yet, but stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com ). I think that this is only what she wears early on to steal the vehicle.



OK, speaking of Bat-Vehicles, the next wallpaper is of the Tumbler Batmobile, which will make an early appearance in the film too. Also, it's the "Camouflage" version. I guess it's not been painted black yet, ha!

Warner Bros today "leaked out" some official photos of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle ( Catwoman ) from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie. She's wearing a sleek black "Super Spy" High-Tech Outfit & I think it has more to do with her in her "Selina Kyle" Persona than as Catwoman, the Villain. It looks like she is stealing the BAT-POD Motorcycle Prototype from Gotham University! But anyway, to celebrate we have taken the best high-resolution photo we could find & made these two ANNE HATHAWAY DESKTOP WALLPAPERS, enjoy!

FREE COOL BATMAN WALLPAPERS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, Long time Bat-Blog Fans know the drill. Every Wednesday we post a few custom-designed BATMAN Wallpaper Backgrounds for you to enjoy....so, enjoy! The 1st one is an homage to 1970's Batman. I think this artwork was originally the comic book art of Neal Adams, a Bat-Fan favorite! Then, the 2nd one is a parody of the 1960's TV Series Logo. It says, "HENCH", referring to "Henchmen". This is all about some characters on the modern day TV Cartoon, The Venture Bros. On that show there's an evil Super-Villain named "The Monarch" & he has a very large team of Henchmen. BATMAN WALLPAPERS OF THE JOKER - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Here are 2 Cool Wallpaper Backgrounds of THE JOKER that were submitted by some extremely awesome Bat-Blog Fans! the 1st one is a photo taken the other night at the BATMAN LIVE event in the UK. It was shot by our friend Billy. This is a stage prop where a giant-size JOKER HEAD comes out on stage. The Joker's eyeballs, teeth, & tongue are actually real people and they all tumble out at once, it's a pretty cool visual effect! Next is a Tribute to Brian Bolland's BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Graphic Novel. This was sent in by a Graphic Artist named Chris Bacon. He took some classic artwork and gave it a whole new look.
