New BATMAN Licensed Cotton Fabric In Stores Now!

OK, Arts and Crafts Fans are gonna freak-out over this news! A Good Friend to the Bat-Blog, named Jennifer, sent us some wonderful photos of a brand-new set of DC Comics Licensed-Products, BATMAN Cotton Fabric!! Oh yeah, here's some new Bolts of Cloth with graphic appeal! Right now many Creative Bat-Blog Readers are thinking of a hundred uses: Custom Shirts, Dresses, Handbags, Quilts, Baby Blankets, etc... but my idea is that this stuff would make very excellent curtains, ha!

Jennifer sent us some amazing examples of the diversity of design they all have but I gotta say that the very 1st photo is my personal favorite. I love that all-over design & the clip art they used. Of course, the other ones with a simple Bat-Symbol Logo could be great for for projects too. ( Thank You Jennifer ). Hey, if anybody makes some stuff outta this fabric then please let us know. BATGIRL Plus THE RIDDLER Equals LOVE!

OK, I'm sort of teasing our Friend Rebecca here a little bit with the title to this post, but once you see the photos you'll know what I mean. Here's a wonderful set of photos sent in to us by her. This past Halloween, Rebecca and her Boyfriend dressed-up as BATGIRL and The RIDDLER! Their costumes were really great but they didn't stop there. They also made a very clever custom-made Jack O' Lantern Pumpkin with the Batgirl Logo Symbol, a Heart, and a Question Mark for the Riddler. There was also some nice chalk art done to complete the outdoor decorations. Overall, everything looked AWESOME! I think they had a great time. Thank you Rebecca for sharing these fun pics. Plus, that Pumpkin looks very cool all lit-up, good job!

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY - Advertising Propaganda Spotted in Mexico City!

Check out these cool photos sent in by our friend Diego, who lives in Mexico City. He said that 2 guys were spotted the other night driving around town in a pick-up truck with "Gotham City Police Department" graphics on the side. In the back was a huge projector & they went around projecting a few images onto the sides of buildings. They included: The BAT-SYMBOL LOGO, The BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Logo ( with Release Date ), and one for the RIDDLER announcing the Riddler's Mexican Twitter Account, @3NIG_MA. Wow! How cool is that?! The graphics are the "black and white theme" you have been seeing in the advertising for the new Video Game. One side has Batman, the other, The Joker! There is even an "BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY" Logo on the front. Hey, I think it looks pretty cool!!

We totally love it when Bat-Blog Fans share their personal photos that show how they completely love the Batman character. To me, that's what this site is all about! So, here we go! FREE COOL BATMAN WALLPAPERS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, Long time Bat-Blog Fans know the drill. Every Wednesday we post a few custom-designed BATMAN Wallpaper Backgrounds for you to enjoy....so, enjoy! The 1st one is an homage to 1970's Batman. I think this artwork was originally the comic book art of Neal Adams, a Bat-Fan favorite! Then, the 2nd one is a parody of the 1960's TV Series Logo. It says, "HENCH", referring to "Henchmen". This is all about some characters on the modern day TV Cartoon, The Venture Bros. On that show there's an evil Super-Villain named "The Monarch" & he has a very large team of Henchmen. To celebrate the fact that the next Batman Movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, will be filmed for one month in Pittsburgh the city hired "Lightwave International" to create a BAT-SIGNAL to welcome the Director, Actors, & Film Crew. DC Retroactive 1970's BATMAN #1 in Stores Now!

OK, if you're hitting the Comic Book Shop today then you need to keep an eye out for this baby! This is the cover to the "DC Retroactive 1970's BATMAN #1" One-Shot. I love the old DC Comics logo, & speaking of that, I also love the 70's BATMAN logo too ( Click on the above graphic for a larger photo ). You see, these are the comic books I grew-up with & it's just nice to see them again. Of course back then they only cost 25 cents, "Holy Inflation, Batman!" This one-shot issue features both a brand new story and a classic story by Len Wein, originally published in the 1970s. It also features art by Tom Mandrake, John Calnan and Dick Giordano.

I really don't care about "Celebrity News", it's shallow & lame. But I came across this paparazzi photo the other day that's kinda cool. It shows the Actor Robert Downey Jr ( Ironman & Sherlock Holmes ) walking down the street with his Son. The funny thing is his Son, Indio, is wearing a Batman T-Shirt AND Bat-Symbol Logo Belt Buckle, ha! Yes, it appears he's more of a Batman Fan than one of Ironman!

Alberto's Beautiful BATMAN BAT-LOGO Birthday Cake!

The Bat-Blog has a good friend in Mexico who was kind enough to send us this beautiful photo of an extremely AWESOME Batman Birthday Cake! His name is Alberto & he just had a party recently ( ¡Feliz Cumpleaños Alberto! ). He said the cake's gray icing was made to look like stone or granite & that it doesn't really show-up in the pic, probably because of the camera flash, but it looked very very cool! Official THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie TEASER POSTER!

Yesterday, Warner Bros released an official image on their Batman "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" Movie Website of the "Teaser Poster" for the film. Here it is, click on it for a HUGE version. It shows an upward shot of crumbling buildings ( Gotham City ) and there's a "hidden" image of the Bat-Logo. What do you think? Now, please keep in mind that the "teaser stuff" is usually extremely vague & mysterious.

Alan's Custom-Made 1966 BATMAN TV LOGO Birthday Cake!

Check out these wonderful photos sent in to us by our good friend Alan. he recently had a birthday & his friend Mariana, who just so happens to be an extremely great Chef, made him this Custom BATMAN Birthday Cake! Custom Art BATMAN LOGO SYMBOLS Metal Sculpture

The BAT-BLOG recently had a fan named Thomas send us these pictures to share and they're pretty interesting. Thomas has a friend who is a Sculptor & Product Designer who does custom artwork with metal. Thomas said, "I always thought it was pretty cool and he made really awesome stuff, but I never thought it would be anything I'd want to buy... until NOW!" Ha! What he's talking about is this amazing BATMAN SYMBOL LOGO Wall Relief Sculpture. Meaning, that it has a sort of 3D quality about it. Batman Fans will all know the symbols used here. Basically we got the "Classic Yellow Oval", then the more "Modern-Day" version. Then on top of that is the current logo used for the movie franchise...WOW! Funny Creativity Inspired by The Dark Knight!

The Bat-Blog is all about being a Batman Fan & we also love when people are inspired by the character. Here are some wonderful examples of creativity: The 1st pic is a crazy sculpture of the Caped Crusader. He was made with special cake icing called "Fondant", probably for a very special Birthday Cake. The next example is pretty wacky! John's BATMAN LOGO Coffee Table - Custom Art Furniture

OK, I'm officially jealous, very JEALOUS! This photo comes from a friend on Facebook who recently got this extremely cool Custom Art BATMAN Coffee Table! His name is John & he just received this Masterpiece of Art from a friend named Dave. John says that Dave made this out of totally recycled parts, basically, materials he found. It's an oval-shaped table with a BATMAN LOGO Bat-Symbol shape carved out of the top's center. It looks like John has installed a focused spotlight up above that casts a shadow on the floor of a BAT under the piece of furniture. Yes, it's also a bat-signal!!! ( Thanks John for sharing this groovy pic, this is a totally GREAT piece. Also, please share with Dave that we think he's a True Artist ).
