Special BATMAN GUESTS Today at The NJ COMIC EXPO!

I totally failed at reporting this yesterday so I apologize. But hey, there's still time to share this important news! Today, November 12th, in New Jersey they're having the NJ COMIC EXPO & there will be many special guests who once appeared in the 1966 BATMAN TV Series plus, CATWOMAN! Yes, Lee Merriwether, who played the feisty feline in the 60's BATMAN Movie will be there! It all takes place from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Teaneck Armory in Teaneck, NJ. Then, at 7:00 pm, there will also be a special screening of the 1960's BATMAN MOVIE at the Loews Jersey Theater in Jersey City.



Other TV Guests include: Terry Moore ( Venus ), Donna Loren ( Cheerleader Susie ), Deanna Lund ( Annagram, The Riddler's Sidekick ), & Susan Silo ( Another Riddler Sidekick, Mousey ). Also showing up at the event are Jim Beard ( Editor, Gotham City 14 Miles ) & Joel Eisner ( The Official Batman Batbook ) who have each worked on some very popular 1966 Batman TV History Books! One last thing, our friend John Stacks will be there to share some of his Batman Toys & Model Kits Collection and there will also be some 1966 Batmobile & Bat-Cycles Replicas AND the original 1966 Bat-Copter, whew!

Kevin Stark's ADAM WEST 1966 BATMAN Tribute Artwork

A Friend on Facebook yesterday shared this amazing piece of BATMAN Art he did recently & I thought it was decent enough to share ( Ha Ha, just kidding, it's great! ). Actually it's an extremely well done Tribute to ADAM WEST from the 1960's Batman TV Series. This Digital Art was drawn on a Wacom Tablet by our buddy Kevin Stark. The rendering of West's face is dead-on perfect! I like the coloring/shading, the use of the fine black outline, & even that wacky yellow-paisley wallpaper background... GROOVY! BATMAN 1966 TV SHOW and MOVIE REPLICA PROPS - The Batzooka and Bat-Shield!

Check out these amazing replicas of a few props from the 1960's BATMAN TV Show and Movie! Our Buddy "BatDave" is holding the BATZOOKA! It was originally seen in the 1966 Batman movie as a Batcharge Launcher, in the scene where Robin, The Boy Wonder, used it to fire at The Penguin Submarine!

Then, we have the BAT-SHIELD, held up by our Friend Louie! This "Weapon" appeared mainly on the Adam West and Burt Ward BATMAN TV Series. It protected Batman and Robin from harm caused by Villains!!

Both of these were made by Louie and you can see the love that went into them because they have such great detail! ( Thanks to BatDave for sharing this fun photo ).

ADAM WEST TRIBUTE WALLPAPER By Graphic Artist Andy Fish Celebrates 45th Anniversary of The 1966 BATMAN TV Series

Last night we got this awesome ADAM WEST BATMAN TRIBUTE WALLPAPER that was made by our friend, Graphic Artist Andy Fish. The artwork is very cool & has a 1960's POP ART feel about it. Which, is totally appropriate because it's meant to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of The 1966 BATMAN TV Series. Wow, 45 years! Man, I really feel old now, ha! I was 2 years old when this TV Show appeared & right from the beginning I was completely hooked, I loved it! Watching it now, as an Adult, I gotta admit that's it's kinda cheesy. But when I was very very little, and Batman or Robin were held in some Crazy Death Trap... I was extremely concerned for their lives, ha! Check out this extremely cool photo sent in by our good friend BatDave. He said he has a buddy named Lou who was sitting in traffic in lower Manhattan only a couple of days ago when, all of a sudden, he looks over to his right and sees an original 1966 Batmobile Car being hauled right past the World Trade Center 9/11 Freedom Tower construction site! Fun Batman Photo - Barbara Eden and the 1966 Batmobile!

Barbara Eden has been pretty busy lately promoting her brand-new Auto-Biography Book titled "Jeannie Out of the Bottle". Here she is at a recent Comic Book Convention having a photo op with the 1966 Batmobile. I mean, how cool is that?! A 1960's TV ICON sitting inside a Classic 60's TV Show Car!! Now, I gotta say that I have not read her new book yet, but the reviews are starting to come in & they're all saying it's a pretty good read. Here's a photo of the cover. Melissa's SEXY CATWOMAN TATTOO Art Photo

A Bat-Blog Fan named Melissa was kind enough to share a photo of her extremely awesome CATWOMAN Tattoo she recently got. She said it's on her lower leg and took 5 hours to ink, OUCH! But the Tattoo Artist did an amazing job on it. I really like the coloring & the shadow work is done really well. Now, some people might recognize the original art for this and it has been altered a little bit. In this version, Catwoman's leg is resting on top of hood to Adam West's 1966 Batmobile... very cool & a nice addition! ( Thanks for sharing this Melissa, you ROCK! )

BATMOBILE REPLICA CARS & GOLDEN AGE BATWOMAN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

If you read the Bat-Blog yesterday then you know we did a post about the "Michael Uslan Batman Book Signing" that happened in New Jersey last weekend. Well, for the event, they had a few Batmobile Replica Cars on display that were supplied by Gotham City Supercars. That's the 1st BATMAN WALLPAPER presented here. The photo features a very nice 1966 Batmobile & the cool car from the 1989 Movie. I would have tried to steal them BOTH, ha!







Then, the 2nd wallpaper background shares an image of BATWOMAN from the Golden Age. It's a convention drawing by Sheldon Moldoff. You see, I recently got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan asking to see a "Batwoman Background" showing her as she appeared in the TV Cartoon, "Batman: The Brave and The Bold". Yes, she made an appearance. Well, I did have some nice graphics of her but they're on my old computer that I can't access. Then, I searched Google forever trying to find these pics & could never find anything decent. Then, I asked the Warner Bros PR Dept to please send me some pics but that's taking forever. So I finally settled on these. Sorry Dude, I'll have those images for you when I can get them. In the mean time please enjoy this one.

Michael Uslan's NJ Book Signing Party for "THE BOY WHO LOVED BATMAN"

Last Saturday, August 20th, was a special day for Batman Fans. Well, ones who live near New Jersey anyway, ha! Michael Uslan, the Author of "The Boy Who Loved Batman", had a Book Signing Party at the Ashbury Park Convention Hall on the Boardwalk in NJ. Our Bat-Reporter Buddy "BatDave" was there and got some incredible photos! He also said that the event was a total blast & Mr. Uslan was a lot of fun to be around. He also said he was a very gracious person, that's cool.








The first photo shows the Author Michael Uslan in a 1966 TV Batmobile Replica Car. In fact, there were a few different Batmobiles made available for the event & tomorrow we're gonna post a special "Wallpaper Background" that's a really great pic of the 1989 Movie and 1966 TV Show Batmobile... TOGETHER! So, stay tuned for that.




Now, up next are 2 photos that feature a Costumed Batman Fan getting his book signed & the 3rd pic shows our Buddy "BatDave" ( he's the guy on the far-right ). Glenn's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS With CATWOMAN Dolls and 1967 BATGIRL Model Kit

Check out these amazing Custom Catwoman Dolls, Batgirl Model Kit, & Re-Designed Retro-Style Batman Toys! These were all made and or customized by our friend Glenn, also known as "infadoll". He likes to take old beat-up toys and give them new life. His main focus is Superhero-related characters. Shown here are two versions of Catwoman. The 1st one is Julie Newmar from the 1966 BATMAN TV Series. The fabric for the costume looks great & the necklace is really nice too. Then you have the "Golden Age" version from the 1940's comic books...MEOW!








The 3rd photo shows his talent for adding dioramas to his model kits. Here is a "Yvonne Craig" Batgirl from the 2nd season of TV's BATMAN. Wow, the face looks just like hers! Then, look at the last 2 pics. This is an old Vintage 1960's Palmolive BATMAN SOAKY Bubble Bath Bottle... transformed into ADAM WEST! If you're not familiar with the old toy it was actually extremely simple-looking & basic. In Glenn's version he detailed it quite a bit & made it more authentic to the TV Show, Coolness!
