BATMAN FINE ART SCULPTURE by Ceramics Artist Calvin

I recently discovered an Artist's website where he showcases his cool Ceramic Work. His name is Calvin & he lives in the San Francisco area. His artwork is very very impressive! He has his own style of Art where he makes Humanoid Creatures that are very organic, think: Wood, Fire, Water... that kinda thing. They're really great!



But, he also did a series of Superhero Characters and, obviously, my favorite was the Dark Knight himself, BATMAN! Now, in that Superhero Series, he also made an incredible X-Men Comics Wolverine, He-Man The Master of The Universe, Captain America, Amazing Spiderman, and Lion-O ( Thundercats ). Next year, around April 2012, be sure to keep an eye out for these special DARK KNIGHT MOVIE 2" Mini Mez-itz Figures and Toy Vehicles made by MEZCO. They will be sold in different boxed sets. The 1st one will feature the TUMBLER Batmobile & it comes with a Mini-Batman 2" Mez-itz Figure.



The next one will also be a "Vehicle Boxed Set" & it comes with Batman, The Joker, and The Bat-Pod Motorcycle all packaged together in a special collector window box.



Then, a 3rd Set will have four 2" Mez-itz Figures and you'll get Batman, The Joker, Scarecrow and Two-Face!

Some AMAZING BATMAN COSTUME PHOTOS From Halloween 2011

Check out these amazing photos sent in by Bat-Blog Fans who dressed as BATMAN Characters for Halloween! I'm posting them in no particular order, just sort of like as they were received. Randall was Two-Face & looks pretty twisted! "Batmitereturns" dressed-up as the Joker for his 2 children, who were Batman and Robin, the Dynamic Duo! Luis, in Missouri, was the Dark Knight & while on patrol he ran into Ronald McDonald! Also, our friend Kevin put on his awesome"Dark Knight" Gear & ran around with Poison Ivy! Thanks to everybody who submitted photos this year. It's been a nice event & ALL of these costumes are GREAT!

New 2011 BATMAN Plastic Model Kits By Moebius - Tumbler Batmobile and Bat-Pod Motorcycle

Shown here are a few prototype pics of 2 Brand-New BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Plastic Model Kits that will be released by Moebius Models near the end of September, 2011. They're gonna make a Tumbler Batmobile ( 1:25 Scale ), a Bat-Pod Motorcycle( 1:25 Scale ),and a Set of 3 Figures ( no photos on those yet ). The best picture here is the Bat-Pod, click on it for way more detail. They're gonna retail for around $15 so be sure to look for them later. Also, once we get better pics we will share them here.

Let's Celebrate BATMAN-INSPIRED Creativity!

Here at the Bat-Blog we love it when Batman Fans get creative & use their inspiration of the character as a means to create ART! Here are 2 great examples: The 1st photo is a sculpture bust made by our friend Pete. It's in the early stages, but it will be used to make a latex mask bat-cowl. Now the funny thing is that Pete told me this was going to be a "Keaton BATMAN Movie" version, and he didn't even need to say that. I mean, just look at it, IT IS TOTALLY Michael Keaton!



Next up is a Bat-Vehicle I saw awhile back on eBay. It's a Custom Golf Cart designed to look like the Tumbler Batmobile from the recent Batman movies. Now, I don't play golf, but I would completely love to own this cool toy! ( Hint, Hint: My birthday is in January, ha! )

It's a totally airbrushed Batman Semi-Truck by an Artist named Glenn Andersen who lives in Norway. The entire surface of the truck is painted & it's all very very impressive! THE ART OF MARK FREDRICKSON - The DARK KNIGHT Movie and MAD Magazine

A friend of mine sent me a link the other day to website for an amazing Graphic Artist named Mark Fredrickson. His artwork is extremely cool & I've known about his work for a long time but never knew his name, ha! You see, he created a few of the covers for MAD Magazine when they have done a parody of the Batman films. You might remember seeing the image shown here of Alfred E. Neuman as The Joker ( Heath Ledger version ). Mark also did a lot of the Stock Art ( or Style Guide Art ) used to promote THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Franchise. BATMAN BAT-SYMBOL GRAPHICS Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, Every week we post a few FREE Brand-New BATMAN WALLPAPERS here at the Bat-Blog, it's called "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! This week I was really struggling with what to post. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw how these 2 random backgrounds totally mirrored each other. OK, I know it's dumb, ha ha! but look at the size & angle of the Bat-Symbol in each of these pictures... they're almost the same! Now, the 1st one is a photo sent in by a Batman Fan who, one day, cooked a Bat-Biscuit! Hey, you gotta admit it looks pretty neat & is very creative. He did a great job on it! Now, the next wallpaper background is a CGI-rendered image of a young Bruce Wayne in the alleyway with his murdered parents. The looming shadow of the BAT symbolizes his future. THE DARK KNIGHT - Batman Movie Wallpapers

OK, I know that coverage on THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie is sort of "old news" now but there are still a ton of people who are HUGE Fans of this film. I know that, personally, I have a kind of "love & hate" feeling about it. I love the movie because it's totally great & was a lot of fun. On the other hand, as a "Batman News Reporter", I had to cover the thing night & day for many months before it even came out. I sort of got totally burned-out on it before it hit the Movie Theater & I remember that when I went to go enjoy the movie I had to sort of shake off all the information I had acquired about it. But, thank God, it was an AWESOME movie!



Now, since some time has gone by I'd like to share these TDK Wallpapers that are pretty cool! The 1st one is Heath Ledger, as The JOKER, driving the School Bus right after the Bank Robbery...a great image & awesome background! The next one is sort of a PROMO portrait of Batman, Two-Face, & The Joker. These were done by a Digital Artist named "Messenjah Matt". He took a ton of photographic images from the movie & then digitized them into graphics that made awesome backgrounds.
