BATMAN- FRANKENSTEIN STATUES Make an Appearance at the IT'S ALIVE Art Show

The "It's Alive" Project celebrates eight decades of the Frankenstein Monster by presenting 80 re-imagined Life Size Boris Karloff Frankenstein Busts. Each of the 80 artists have been asked to recreate the monster in their own vision, style and hand. You will be amazed and frightened by what can happen when these talented artists unleash their creative monsters on this unique and terrifying project. Now of course we're featuring most of the Batman-related ones here at the BAT-BLOG.COM ( The Dark Knight, Joker, and Two-Face ) but I had to add the ones of the Frankenberry Cereal Character and Star Trek's Mr.Spock because they totally crack me up, ha ha!



The busts will be on display and available for purchase at the City Arts Factory in Downtown Orlando, Florida from October 20th through November 15th, 2011.



All proceeds from the sale and auction of these busts will benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For more information, to see the other pieces of Art, or make a purchase, just click HERE!

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Life-Size Statue by Studio Oxmox

We recently did a post here at the BAT-BLOG.COM where we reported about the BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Video Game Launching Event in NYC. It was held at Toys-R-Us & had a few surprises. One of them was an extremely cool Life-Size Statue they had of Batman. It was very detailed & sort of hyper-realistic looking. Plus, it looked EXACTLY like the character in the Video Game, very very cool! Well later on, at Facebook, we were talking about it a little bit & a friend said he knew who made it.


The statue was created for the event by a company called STUDIO OXMOX. I researched their website & they make a HUGE amount of movie promo items & statues. Their work is really great! If I ever win the Lottery, I will probably call them up & buy everything they make( of course, right after I call the guy who makes 1966 Batmobile Replica Cars, ha ha! ). Niko's BATMAN TOYS and STATUE COLLECTION - Part One

Getting to meet Batman Fans & Toy Collectors from all around the world is my favorite part of working on the Bat-Blog. Here's a perfect example, these photos were sent in by a new friend to the site named Niko. He lives in France & is a very serious Bat-Collector. In fact, I'm breaking this post down into three parts because there were so many pics & Niko's collection is HUGE! But, this is cool because we get to see a lot of neat stuff. He really seems to like the collectibles made by DC Direct, we're talking Action Figures & Statues. Also, besides Batman Niko really loves the Joker, that's cool. But there is also a nice variety of other items as well. Maybe I'm being small minded but I'm always amazed at the Dark Knight's popularity in far-away countries. That's completely AWESOME! Seth's BATMAN TOYS AND MEMORABILIA Bat-Cave! Part 1

Check out this amazing Collection of BATMAN TOYS!! Here are just a few photos of our good friend Seth's BAT-CAVE Room! Now, because of space limitations I can only post a few pics but please be sure to check them all out. I know that if you do you will be drooling for days, ha! I mean, there's some really great stuff here: Action Figures, Hot Wheels, PEZ, Masks, Toys, Blankets, Statues, Vinyl Figures, Nodders, Corgi Die-Cast Cars, Toothbrush Holders, Dolls, Puzzles, Puppets, & even Batman Band-Aids! WOW! The list could go on & on forever!



I love how everything is displayed & it's so cool that they're able to use an entire room for the collection. My only worry is that they will probably have to buy a bigger house someday, ha! But all kidding aside I do wanna thank Seth for sharing his BATMAN Toy Collection with all of us. It's great to see a bunch of cool Bat-items all together and this BAT-CAVE room is totally AWESOME! Now, there were way too many pics to share in one post & I will be posting more in the near future, so everybody please keep an eye out for those.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Movie Merchandise at Licensing Expo

Just a quick post to share the news that the annual LICENSING International Expo starts today & will run from June 14th to 16th in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The BIG news of course is that Warner Bros will be set-up there & hopefully they will be announcing some of the BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Merchandise! Well, at least we hope they do, ha ha! NEW BATMAN STATUE - YEAR ONE Maquette ( DVD Movie )

DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue that will be coming out later this year. It's a Maquette Figure based on the BATMAN: YEAR ONE character from the DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD. Oh man, it's beautiful! I like the retro-style. It was sculpted by DEREK MILLER. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain Maquette-Statue of BATMAN will be released on September 27th, 2011. It will measure about 9.8" high x 7.75" wide x 5" deep. Also, it's a Limited Edition. The Retail price will be around $ 125.00. Remember, stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for all your Batman Collectibles News.

Ryan's Insane BATMAN MEMORABILIA & TOY Collection!

One of the things I love about collecting Batman stuff is that over the last 40+ years they have made a TON of merchandise that you can hunt down. So, you can never "have it all" or, in other words, you can collect it forever! It's sort of the main inspiration for me creating the Bat-Blog. Then, speaking of this site one thing I really love is connecting with other Bat-Collectors. I always like seeing other people's stuff, what they have & how it's displayed.



Shown here are a few photos of "Ryan's Batcave". as you can see he has some extremely awesome Batman Toys, Action Figures, Collector Plates, Statues, Framed Art Prints, Posters, etc... even a 1989 BATMAN MOVIE Video Game Vending Machine ( my favorite piece! ). Well, I really like the "Animated Series" Collector Plates too. Ryan seems to have focused a lot on the items from the WB Store. We used to have one here where I live & I really miss it. They had a lot of high-quality items. Well, anyway, please check out all the cool pics and I wanna thank Ryan for sharing his personal Bat-Collection, it's very very cool!
