NEW BATMAN COLLECTIBLES - Wonderful BATGIRL and CATWOMAN PULLIP DOLLS From JAPAN!

POW! Here are 2 brand-new Bat-Collectibles to keep an eye out for because they're both extremely cool! I mean, I totally love these!! Here are BATGIRL and CATWOMAN Dolls made by Pullip Toys of Japan. These awesome Japanese Toys were sold as an EXCLUSIVE at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con! But don't worry, they're also being sold online & finding them is pretty easy. They retail for around $130.00 each. In one photo you can see their nice Display Boxes. The dolls are really great. I like their big heads ( ha ha ) & the costumes are wonderful. Also, the very last photo shows 2 variations that were EXCLUSIVES in Japan only. They were sold at the "Wonder Festival" & are limited to 400 pieces each. Personally, I like the SDCC versions better because their hair color is more accurate.

Niko's BATMAN TOYS and STATUE COLLECTION - Part One

Getting to meet Batman Fans & Toy Collectors from all around the world is my favorite part of working on the Bat-Blog. Here's a perfect example, these photos were sent in by a new friend to the site named Niko. He lives in France & is a very serious Bat-Collector. In fact, I'm breaking this post down into three parts because there were so many pics & Niko's collection is HUGE! But, this is cool because we get to see a lot of neat stuff. He really seems to like the collectibles made by DC Direct, we're talking Action Figures & Statues. Also, besides Batman Niko really loves the Joker, that's cool. But there is also a nice variety of other items as well. Maybe I'm being small minded but I'm always amazed at the Dark Knight's popularity in far-away countries. That's completely AWESOME! HEY KIDS! Check Out These Cool New Toys!! Right now, if you go to an Arby's Restaurant, they have a new KIDS MEAL promoting JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED Bobbing-Head Heroes 2. There are 6 Toy Premiums to collect: Batman, The Joker, Superman, Supergirl, Solomon Grundy, & Lex Luthor. Basically they are "Paper Toy Figures" you put together. I guess I should note that if you don't want to buy the food then most locations will sell the toys separately. Yeah, you know which two I'm gonna buy, ha ha!

New BATMAN TOY COLLECTOR MUSEUM To Open in Thailand!

Check out these amazing photos we just got from our Good Friend "BAT-CAT". He has plans to open a brand-new BATMAN TOYS AND COLLECTIBLES MUSEUM in Thailand. Shown here are a few Architectural CGI Renderings of the planned site and building. Of course these things are usually a mock-up concept thing, & the final result is almost always different, but it should give you an idea how extremely GREAT this is going to be! He thinks it will be ready by early next year. Remember, the Bat-Blog will keep you updated on this. In the mean time, I want to wish the best of luck for this project. I'm really excited about it because it looks so cool!!

New BATMAN TOYS - DC Super Friends MR. FREEZE CAR Variations

Here's a quick post to share some news about a brand-new Batman Toy & it comes in 2 variations. Bat-Reporter, Batmobilly, spotted this new DC SUPER FRIENDS Fisher Price SHAKE N' GO MR FREEZE CAR ( made by Mattel ) at a Target Store & then later noticed it comes in 2 different colors. Now, I'm not one of those obsessed "Completest Collectors" who buys every variation of everything but I thought this news would be worthy as far as picking out a favorite color ( I like the lighter colored car better ). Glenn's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS With CATWOMAN Dolls and 1967 BATGIRL Model Kit

Check out these amazing Custom Catwoman Dolls, Batgirl Model Kit, & Re-Designed Retro-Style Batman Toys! These were all made and or customized by our friend Glenn, also known as "infadoll". He likes to take old beat-up toys and give them new life. His main focus is Superhero-related characters. Shown here are two versions of Catwoman. The 1st one is Julie Newmar from the 1966 BATMAN TV Series. The fabric for the costume looks great & the necklace is really nice too. Then you have the "Golden Age" version from the 1940's comic books...MEOW!








The 3rd photo shows his talent for adding dioramas to his model kits. Here is a "Yvonne Craig" Batgirl from the 2nd season of TV's BATMAN. Wow, the face looks just like hers! Then, look at the last 2 pics. This is an old Vintage 1960's Palmolive BATMAN SOAKY Bubble Bath Bottle... transformed into ADAM WEST! If you're not familiar with the old toy it was actually extremely simple-looking & basic. In Glenn's version he detailed it quite a bit & made it more authentic to the TV Show, Coolness! Vintage Batman Toys - Cheesy Carded Rack Toys From The 70's

If you have ever read the Bat-Blog for a few days or longer then you know I love the Batman Toys, ha! I like everything from the 60's all the way to today. But the stuff that's the most special to me is the merchandise made in the 1970's. You see, I was born in 1964 so I remember most of the bat-products on the shelves around that time. I guess you could say they were "the toys of my childhood". So, I'm sort of nostalgic for them. Now, in the 70's there was a "retail-marketing thing" called RACK TOYS. They were usually extremely cheesy plastic toys that were sold inside a clear bubble-pack on a thin-cardboard header card.










You would see them all the time at Grocery Stores, Drug Stores, & especially 7-Eleven! They were inexpensive & some modern-day Toy Collectors call them "Shut-Up Toys". You know, you would whine that you wanted it & Mom would say, "OK, here, get this one & be quiet!", ha ha! So, this post is dedicated to those wonderful collectibles from the past. Most of the photos are pretty self-explanatory so I'll just let you check them out. Also, if you have any special memories of this stuff then please share.
