THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - A Fan's Tribute To The Teaser Trailer

The BIG BATMAN NEWS right now is that Warner Bros released a Teaser Movie Trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES recently during the new HARRY POTTER film. Now, we don't have a copy of this thing yet, nobody does. But we'll be posting it as soon as it's available, please stay tuned. But, in the mean time, one cool thing is that it totally inspired an Artist named Scott McMahon ( aka Scoot ) who lives in Rossford, Ohio. Scoot drew this black and white drawing of BATMAN in honor of "The Dark Knight Rises" Movie... it looks pretty cool, check it out! ( Thanks Scoot )

Meet JOE KUBERT at Dewey's Comic City in Madison, NJ

If you live near Madison, New Jersey then here's your chance to meet a Comic Book Legend, Joe Kubert! He's mostly known for working on the Sgt. Rock comics but he has also done a ton of work with Batman ( Just a few covers shown here ). In fact, they made one of the "Batman: Black and White" Statues in his honor. I love the BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE Statues and this new one that's just been announced totally cracks me up! This latest statue from DC Direct is designed by Sergio Aragonés with a classic MAD MAGAZINE look! This cold-cast porcelain statue measures approximately 6.5" high x 7.5" wide x 4" deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box. It will retail for about $ 90.00 and goes on sale around January 18th, 2012.

Brad's Awesome BATMAN AND JOKER Statue Collection

I recently received some very nice photos from a fellow Batman Collector named Brad ( Be sure to click on them for larger, more detailed, pics ). He has a really great Batman Statue Collection. Now, there were a ton of photos so I'm just showing a few right now, and later I will post the rest. But I'm putting them in categories, so they make sense, so don't worry. These pics focus mainly on the Batman: Black and White statues. Then, there's a few other busts & random statues... all great stuff! I think it's really neat to see a lot of the B&W figures all together. They always make an interesting display. My next post will focus on his Joker Collection so stay tuned for that. DC Direct just announced another BATMAN BLACK & WHITE STATUE. This one is designed by PATRICK GLEASON and sculpted by PHIL RAMIREZ.



Patrick Gleason's concept on this statue was inspired by his current work on BATMAN AND ROBIN.



Cold-cast in porcelain, the statue measures approximately 7 3/4” high x 5” wide x 3 1/4” deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and will go on sale around December 14th, 2011. Suggested Retail Price: $80.00.
