DC Direct's MAD Magazine JUST-US LEAGUE OF STUPID HEROES Action Figures

In early April of 2012, if the Mayan Calendar Theory doesn't kick-in & we're all still alive, then DC Direct has plans to release a brand-new set of Action Figures called "JUST-US LEAGUE OF STUPID HEROES". They will feature ALFRED E. NEUMAN, the Mascot for MAD Magazine, as a different member of the Justice League of America: Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Robin, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Arrow, and even The Joker. I was a HUGE Fan of MAD Magazine when I was a little kid & totally love these new toys! I gotta say that one of the JOKER is my favorite. Alfred E. Neuman just seems so appropriate for that character, Ha Ha!

DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue to keep an eye out for in the future. This is the "Batman Bust" from the HEROES OF THE DC UNIVERSE, SERIES 2. It was designed by Gary Frank & sculpted by Artist Jean St. Jean. This cold-cast porcelain bust measures approx. 5 3/4" high x 5" wide x 5" deep and will have a suggested retail price of $ 75.00. DC Direct just announced another BATMAN BLACK & WHITE STATUE. This one is designed by PATRICK GLEASON and sculpted by PHIL RAMIREZ.



Patrick Gleason's concept on this statue was inspired by his current work on BATMAN AND ROBIN.



Cold-cast in porcelain, the statue measures approximately 7 3/4” high x 5” wide x 3 1/4” deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and will go on sale around December 14th, 2011. Suggested Retail Price: $80.00.

I like that they went with a "classic comic book" version of the character, "The Clown Prince of Crime!" It's based on the artwork of Jim Lee.
